WITH NATIVE PLANTS

Measures

MUNICIPAL INITIATIVES

The Monarch Mile is collaborating with our city officials to introduce the very first native plant habitat to the Chandler Bike Path in Burbank, CA in the Spring of 2021. The Chandler Bike Path is a recreational Burbank thoroughfare where pedestrians and bicyclists can enjoy curated city green space. All plants in the new, sustainable design were selected for their durability, heat-resistance, water requirements, and beautiful aesthetics. Most importantly, they were chosen for their benefit to the at-risk Monarch Butterfly and other essential pollinators. We installed our first location in March 2020 as a pilot project that we are currently building upon and expanding along the bike path. Thank you to the City of Burbank!
